December 29 at about 11:30pm the Jeep was hit in front of my apartment by a young girl who was speeding and lost control. She was in an older Hyundai and fortunately for her was not hurt. She even tried to drive away but the cops caught her at the bottom of the street. The Jeep was parked 6 feet behind the telephone pole...

With all the damage, the Jeep was totaled. I just paid it off over the summer and was hoping to get another year or so of no car payments, so that was a real bummer. I've really liked the new generation of Colorado's and found myself shopping for one much sooner than planned.

Found this 2016 Colorado LT with the 3.6 V6, tow package, running boards, rhino lined bed, Chevy MyLink infotainment touchscreen etc etc. It only has 6,000 miles and was a dealer demo truck so its had no private owners and still under all Chevy warranties. They screwed themselves hanging onto it this late with the 2017 models out, so I got a great deal. I test drove it and immediately loved it. It has plenty of power, especially with the stripes  (305hp @6800) the brakes feel great (4 wheel disc) and it handles very well too. Feels a lot better than the Jeep actually, RIP. Plenty of room in the back too and the seats are comfortable.

To keep the interior nice, I ordered a set of weatherteck floor mats. Some other things I'd like to do is tint the front windows to match the rear, get a set of factory fog lights, and a bed cover. I was so spoiled with the remote start in the Jeep, so I'm heavily leaning toward getting that installed too. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. The color is silver ice metallic, unfortunately I haven't had a good sunny day to take pictures and see it pop.

I love it, I'm also glad it's not as big as the Silverado at first glance

I drove the 4 cyl gas and Duramax, but not the V6. Both were peppy, and I also loved the space inside and ride of it.

Towing package, eh? Too bad you don't use that :bertstare:

It is good you explained the crashed jeep pic with the headlights on. Def looked like you aimed for a pole. Truck looks nice. Good luck with it.

Sucks about the Jeep, but the new truck is sharp! Good luck with it.

Hey, I make at least one 600 mile round trip each year towing the waverunner

Possibly, until you see the rear left wheel is pushed into the quarter panel.

Thanks!

Congrats! Definitely a nice ride. Those Colorados are getting great reviews from owners, I hear.

I pass one daily parked off Route 17 with the roll bar and lights. It looks pretty tough.

oh man! sorry to hear about the crash.. its a shame when those things happen and it was not your fault at all

I have also heard good things about those Colorados. My coworker wants to get one and I am trying to convince him to do so!

When I was writing service for Chevy(before my accident obviously) I didn't have a single customer complain about their Colorado, every single one loved their new one.
