At the risk of asking a dumb question, should I go with poly mounts to replace my trucks body mounts?

They are cheap, and easy to acquire, but, worry about ruining a smooth and soft riding 3/4 ton :kneeslap:

Thoughts?

I would.

Non-scientific opinion, but tires probably have a bigger effect on ride quality than body mounts would.

In a full framed vehicle like a truck any added harshness would be hardly noticeable. The ride might even improve if the old bushings are really shot. And poly will probably last the life of the truck and beyond.

So a dumb question, but, how does one even know if body mounts are bad?

Just trying to start attacking rubber mounts/isolators, truck is about to hit 200k.

Well, is the rubber cracked and coming apart? Do you have a pic?

If that truck has been driven through typical Jersey seasons I'd bet you a brewski that the rubber parts have seen better days.
