Looks like a possible suicide, and early reports say there was something around his neck. Not confirmed though.

I can't believe it, he was awesome. Fantastic vocalist that was a part of some great bands with great songs. Damn....

Really sad. I am wearing my superunknown t-shirt today. His voice was amazing, and here I was hoping for a Temple of the Dog reunion

So screwed up. Blew my mind when I first heard Soundgarden back in the day. No other band sounded like them and man could CC wail.
