I've got a few batteries, oil and coolant to get rid of and thought I'd pass the word.

Batteries are worth about $10 each to a legit scrapper fyi. Even a junk yard should be able to give you a price over the phone, it will most likely be $0.XX/lb

Federal in South Plainfield is giving $8 a battery. I'll see how many I have. If it's just one I'm not going to go all the way over there.

Mercer county was this past weekend. My town also has a recycling center for things like brush, concrete, boxes and other recycling items, batterys, oil, electronics etc.

I am with the other guys though, get money for the stuff you can. I just use the hazardous waste day for stuff I can't get rid of on my own, like fluorescent lights and chemicals. Coolant is a problem getting rid of too

It was really well executed. I got rid of a ton of stuff that was cluttering up the garage. I just have a few more things to get rid of now.
