I had to go to Hillsborough to look at a roof today, so I stopped by to see Paul @ CTW Motorsports to say hi and grab a few items I needed to restock on for detailing. He had a few new products I'm giving a try.
The Gritty Girl hand cleaner he has is my favorite stuff, and it's only a couple bucks a bottle that lasts forever, and Chemical Guys Jetseal is my favorite product he has.
Afterwards, since I was right by RPM Resto and he happened to be working in the shop. I got to see the Pontiac that he's been posting status updates on, and catch up for a few minutes before he had to go pick up a bike frame. He needs a new battery for his third gen, as it cut out on him last time he drove it. Maybe CTW can hook him up

Good to see you!
Batteries are not something I have ready access to - but there are others in the area that can help.

I absolutely love it. Far easier to put on/take off (no residue!) and in my experience it lasts as long or longer (depending on the product to product comparison).
I use CG on auto and now also marine now that they've expanded into that market. Paul also has some other pretty solid products as well (Poor Boys Wax being one of them).

Madness, you can come to my new house and try out CG
I gotta pick me up some Gritty Girl.
It's a powder that just gets mixed with water, so despite the name it actually has no gritty-ness like a lot of it's competitors, in addition to cleaning well.

I've used it before  I just never actually remembered to order it because I still had a supply of gojo I was burning through. I've just gotta remember to grab this one next time I see Paul H though!

It depends on the product - some like their wheel cleaner and window cleaner are crap; other stuff like their washes and sealants/waxes are excellent. They also get specific with products by paint color and also finish (matte paint, wraps). They are real jerks to end consumers when it comes to shipping times and cost if you order directly from them - even though they have a warehouse in Ohio now.
I do think the Maguire's detailer line (professional line) is excellent, but their regular stuff is pretty pedestrian. Mother's is nothing like it was 30 years ago when they were top dog - I would not use their stuff today.
One thing (that Nick and others will attest) about many chemical guys products is that it is very concentrated and goes a long way. Their car wash gallons will give you 125 washes, no **** - other brands you need to use 4 to 6 times as much per wash. Other CG are dilutable - their fabric cleaner is 20:1 as an example - so 16oz of concentrate makes 336oz of product - almost 3 gallons for $10.
Maguire's is a $1B company with its tentacles in everything from car detailing, to bodyshops, to boats, to industrial chemicals. They are owned by 3M now. Mothers is a company I never really found out much about as it seems to be not on the internet like others.
Now I do sell Griots Garage and use some of their products also. I do like and use some products by Adam's, P21S, Sonax, and some other various products by other companies.
