I just saw this over at TGO, Centric is now manufacturing aluminum brake drums.

Cool beans. At least thirdgens arent forgotten about yet.
In my head im trying to justify them being $100ea vs $25ea plus a can of rustoleum for steel...
Whats the weight loss? 5 lbs a wheel? 10?

That is a good point about the price versus iron. I've never held an aluminum one, so I don't know what the savings could be, unfortunately.

Unsprung weight is a big deal, so if you can't $$ a disc brake setup, this is a cheaper way to get better braking and less weight in comparison.

Found this from a place that has been selling the drums for a while for T-types
A steel brake drum weighs 15 lbs 10 ounces. This reproduction aluminum drum weighs 10 lbs 2 ounces.
