Island Appreciation Day

Hey all - there is a plan for this Saturday to help Island with some repairs. The idea came about with a bunch of regulars at the track to help Melissa and the crew along.

November 4th is approaching fast!
Here is what we have planned so far:
Power wash and possibly paint rear wall
Removing any overgrown weeds, brush, etc
Removing/relocating scrap metal by fuel area
Building benches in front of staging area
Relocating spare guard rails and tractor by front gate
Build and install Welcome to Island Dragway sign by front gate
Repair roof in time slip booth
Start cleaning concession stand/bathrooms/tower
Clean/paint tech booth

Items still needed such as:
Paint, brushes, rollers, etc
Treated plywood
Concrete mix/buckets
Nails
Rags
Cleaning supplies
Garbage bags
Sandpaper
Tools needed such as:
Hammers
Saws
Weedwackers
Leaf blowers
Just getting a jump start on the upgrades now and get more feedback about what else we could do to improve our track!
We know it won't all be complete in one day, so we will plan to meet again, weather depending!

ah bummer, sounds cool. I have plans to help out my 24 hours of LeMons team that day to prep our car for winter storage and then transport it to another garage quite a distance away. if that falls through I could come help out
