Here's an interesting proposal. As I sit here paying the registration on my truck.

New Jersey Bill to Extend Vehicle Registration Introduced
Legislation (A.B. 1542) changes the law so that the initial registration of passenger vehicles does not expire. The one-time registration only becomes void upon transfer of vehicle ownership. The bill is currently in the Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee.

That would be great. What purpose does yearly registration serve anyway?

Edit: Other than revenue....

This would be great. But I would imagine they would raise the price....

Maybe it will give them one less thing to mess up. Just finished paying a ticket for driving an unregistered vehicle since somebody at the DMV decided to mark my plates as surrendered for no reason on my DD.
