I wasn't sure if this was possible and plan to do some online research about it, but figured I would ask here:

Is there any "easy-ish" method to take DVR recordings that are on my Fios DVR box, and transfer them to a DVD or something so that I can save them and watch them in my garage on the tv/dvd/vcr setup? I don't want to spend a ton on money on this stuff, but I didn't know if you fellas had some type of trick.

it looks like I would get a "dvd recorder" ? anyone have any good suggestions ? it also looks like some programs are copyrighted so they wont be able to be recorded. have you guys run into this issue and is it common ?

thanks

My friend has one of those DVD recorders. They don't care about copyright protection since you are recording the video output of the payer and putting it direct to the disc. I don't know what brand it is though. I don't think he has used it in years.
I think he also has another where he uses his computer to record the output of a video source to write the video to a file.
