I was told by Brandon (aka ThoR294) that it is customary to introduce myself. So hi. I am a girl, and I don’t have cooties. I have a Firebird instead. My first car was a 1999 Firebird which I absolutely did not want to trade-in... so I have been trying to find the same one for a long time now. Since I haven’t seen any 1999 metallic blue ones in stick shift, I settled on a 1995 Aqua one in stick. I have been detailing it for showing, and doing my own repairs, aside from my new intermediate pipe. I love it, but there is still a part of me hoping to find my first car!

Welcome! My friend Ryan, Jon and I stopped by to compliment how clean the car was. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the show.

Welcome

Looking for your exact car or another car with the same options?

I think it may be impossible to find my exact car, although if I ever saw it for sale I would snatch it up. The only option it had was ABS (I think that was an option anyway) so I would know it if I saw it since it had roll down windows!! I am more looking for one that is the same year, color, and transmission. There were 652 made that year in that color if I am not picky about any other options, but I don’t know the breakdown for transmission. There could be none that survived for all I know. I found one in poor shape in that color, but it is automatic, and it is important to me to be stick.

The show was fun, I definitely got a lot of compliments on how clean the car is :) the car also seemed to raise a lot of feelings of nostalgia in people, I think partly because of the color. But a surprising number of people even reminisced about the 3.4L engine. Looking at the breakdown for sales, I guess more V6’s sold that year than V8 so maybe the nostalgia over that makes sense.

I was so glad your friend won a trophy for the 78. Amazing car. Of course yours is amazing also just in a much less “original” sort of way :)

Welcome to the club. I own a 94 camaro that originally came with the 3.4, great motor. I upgraded to the 3.5 but spent many hours on the 3.4 engine. How about some pics of the exterior.
