Racewars X Track Rental - Yes or No?

Putting it lightly, its been quite the year. As I'm sure many of you have heard, Atco may being going the way of Etown at some point but details are limited as to when/if this will happen.

The purpose of this thread is to understand from the racer group if you'd like me to organize a track rental this year. If there is still enough interest from the core group of folks who race, then I can work to get that done but here are my initial comments/concerns.

- We go for Atco with the risk that the season is cut short and we don't get the rental off.

- We look to try another track (Island, Cecil). I have not looked into the rental details for those two tracks so I do not know exactly what to expect.

I'm confident I could cobble together enough racers to make a rental happen outside of the BOA group but the effort was always to get our core group together. I do not have interest in setting up a rental if 90% of the racers are people I do not know.

Thoughts, opinions, etc.?

I would not mine just going for atco and taking a shot. Ive had luck there with the car. Im afraid island would not yield such results

Depending on when it may be, and how my schedule is, I could go.

I would do either Island or Atco, but I think Cecil is too far for me to street-drive the car to, race, and drive it home on the same day.

So, my vote is yes to the idea, and depending on when it is, maybe to participating.

Brian- Thanks for continually doing this! Had a blast last year as always. Would be in for this at Atco or Island. I'm 20 minutes from Island so I'm partial to that!

Thanks for the responses. So far I see 2 solid "Yes" answers for racers and general interest to attend an event. I'd need to see a lot more racers to get this going so hopefully others will chime in.

Thanks for the responses. I don't feel great that we will get the desired car count so I've left voicemails for Atco to see if 3-4 cars could be included on another rental. They slipped in cars on us in the past so I would think it's reasonable to do the same. Once I get an answer I'll be sure to let those know what the game plan is (or isn't).

Sounds good to me. I can do most days between now and October 25th.

With the fate of Atco in jeopardy, and being that I have only spectated there but never made a pass at the track.....I am determined to make it down there once in the next month. If it is at a rental great, but if not, I will head down there for a Test and Tune day/night instead. Of the 3 dragstrips in the state, it is the only one I've never been down, so I feel like I should try to get it accomplished, and this is the time.

Thanks for the responses gents. Unfortunately due to recent work obligations and generally not enough of a count of racers, I'll have to forego organizing a rental this year. We will see what next year brings and if the tracks are still around.

I'm heading to Atco in a few hours and will try to ask around to see how long they plan to stay open this year, but word on the street is that 2021 might not be happening for Atco.

Pls define "fast" and you'll get negged out of the groove. Gray/Nardo/Destroyer/Primer colored cars will be excluded with prejudice.

I would definitely go to Atco for this if you guys are doing it. I know one other 3rd gen who would go, and possibly one guy with an 8 second new gen challenger. I don't think i have been to Atco since fall 2020.
