I just placed an order for work for another 2500 Express/Savanna van with the 6.6 gas v8 and was told I can only get a 4.3 or Baby Duramax for any more '21s.

In the same order I tried to get another Silverado with 5.3, no issues but all '21 orders have to be in by 12/31 per GM. Both facts corroborated by multiple dealers. Any idea what's going on?

The Bishop pointed out that the 2.8 is in the vans vs. 3.0 because of packaging constraints, when I called him to see how he still liked his. Although the vans get 8 spd vs. Colorado's 6 spd.

No clue but my guess would be supplier issues given its a new offering for the '21 model year.

Edit - I'll ask a guy I know to see what may be the reason.

I was always under the impression December is the worst time to buy a vehicle. Normally accountants around this time will tell a business owner to buy a vehicle or pay a crapload in taxes.

stay away from the a8 if you dont like being at the dealer constantly, especially considering its going to be a fleet vehicle.

You can't stay away from the 8 speed. It's 8 speed on either the gas or the 2.8 diesel.

6.6 would have been 6 spd. 4.3 v6 is 8 spd as is diesel
