WE HAVE CONFIRMED THE DINNER ARRANGEMENTS!!!!
justin and i jsut paid a visit to the firkin tavern and talked to the manager, brian. everythign is set, we have use of the game room, they are goin to try to get a vcr/dvd player set up for us, and we will have servers until 11pm when kitchen closes.

as stated before, it is a nice family bar and grill type place adn they are happy to have us. arrangements are for approximately 40 people(there is easily room for more) and the food will be handled "off the menu."

it would take you about an hour to hour and a half to get hear(i drive up your way to visit family all the time.) just jump on 202 or 206 south to rt31 south and that will take you into ewing.
hopefully you can make it down, if not we will be having a meet in the northern region in november, i am sure we will see you there.

i just got done talking to the managers of a few local places and the best deal really looks like the restaurant we hang out near around here.
Date: saturday, september 25th

it is a cool place with a few pool tables, dart boards, video golf, a super huge tv, good food, and a bar. there is a ton of parking in the adjoining grocery store parking lot(that is where we park when we hang there).

we decided to do the food in an "off the menu" fashion. that way everyone gets exactly what they want to eat and can be in charge of their own budget.

prices are typical of a "family" bar and grill type place and servings are pretty big.

if we can get 20+ heads to show up we can actually have the gathering in the game room and hook up to the tv's to watch vids if we want.

how far are you from island dragway? if memory serves lodi is right on rt46, correct?
the easiest thing to do will prolly be to follow rt46 to rt31. take rt31 south all the way into ewing township. after you go past the college of new jersey you will want to make a right at the 4th light, that will be olden avenue. once you are on olden it will go up a hill and at teh next light jsut bear to your right, that will put you on parkway avenue. at the 5th light after you turn onto parkway you will make a right into teh parking lot. you will see the firkin tavern and marrazzo's thriftway on your right, park in teh marrazzo's parking lot.
once you get onto rt31 it will take a little over an hour to get here. be sure to watch teh signs for rt 31 when you are in the flemington area, it dips off the higway a bit south of the town.

i just updated the first post with the finalized arrangement info. the restaurant is happy to have us and we are lookin forward to a good time.

the bench racing/hanging out will start at 7pm :)

we will be talking to the management of the grocery store tomorrow or saturday to finalize the parkng arrangements. very obvious spot so everyone passing by can see the cars :)

here's what i'm gonna try and do, if i can get a video camera by the meet, i will try to go to each big meet and some nights people go and race and video events and we can try to get them on the web, i want to try and get started on video editing, so i can do photo's or video tape which you guys rather have? I can do a personal interview on each person and their car and stuff and put it in profiles, etc, just things i am throwing out that we can start on the 25th or we can discuss as a group there!

hood popping will be absolutely encouraged and parking will have to be done on a as you get there basis. we don't really hve run of the lot to lay it out for our uses per say, we jsut have permission to use a portion of it.
i think it will still be a good chance to get a bunch of great pics.

anyone who can video there trip down or take pics please get a copy to justin or me, maybe we can put together a little vid from it :)

yep. the 3 person meet is the one i was referring to. if you can't get the 'leader' to show up, what makes you think the others will? especially those that lived a good distance away...

justin and i jsut paid a visit to the firkin tavern and talked to the manager, brian. everythign is set, we have use of the game room, they are goin to try to get a vcr/dvd player set up for us, and we will have servers until 11pm when kitchen closes.

as stated before, it is a nice family bar and grill type place adn they are happy to have us. arrangements are for approximately 40 people(there is easily room for more) and the food will be handled "off the menu."

Just spend an afternoon staring at the engine. Thats what I did, and I eventually figured out where to hide wires, and remove ones that had no connections. My engine bay went from looking like ****, to very clean. I just take a rag and polish everything up, so I can show off my Bling Chrome Valve Covers, Altenator, and Air-Filter cover lol

i posted somethin similar to this in the North section, i am driving up to the train since no one in South wants have one and bringin my video camera(Panasonic GS15 or better from work), but i don't have a person to film while i drive.
