argh i cant satisfy anyone...everyone just keeps talking about their quality and such :roll: so i dunno...let me know what you think i should get I'll give ya some more narrowed down choices...keep in mind this thing will have to be able to tow & be priced between $20-$24k low mileage would be nice...has to be a crew cab if its a truck mainly for my daughters car seat. Personally I think the dodge hemi is a good choice and about the most affordable for me to get at this current time with the mileage, condition & options it has.

i looked into the colorado last night...I4 & I5 offered in the setup id like crew cab/4x4...anyone here think an I4 or I5 could tow my 2 ton s-10 lol :roll:

My family has never had a problem with Dodge. But my dad's Silverado was a great truck too. Although that has an 11 liter diesel in it now, hahaha, but still. No problems with Dodge. If you feel the need to get one, go for it. if you don't, go for the silverado.

Colorado has 4000lb towing capacity

S-10 weighs 3800 to start.....maybe 3200 after swap and lots of weight reduction.

Gear + trailer for 800lbs or less? Very unlikely....

Yea, if you had the money I would def. recommend the new Silverado/Sierra with the Duramax.....but you don't, so why bother telling you that you should get one.

i would love to get a turbo deisel truck but they are few and far between and usually even something thats 5-6 years old is 20 grand...not something im looking to invest in when a good sized v8 will do the job. The dodge has a decent powertrain warranty already added onto the std 3/36 warranty...so im not overly concerned about the tranny and or motor...al was also trying to harp on the gas mileage....the 5.3 gets like 1mpg city & highway better...hardly a huge gain...and besides the dodge has a 35 gallon tank :) it would take me a month to run through that.

durango all the way. best combination of value, towing capacity, and creature comforts.
if you are going to buy a truck to drive everyday it is the best riding one in the price range you are looking.
