Does anyone have any good info or links to information on the 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission (Found in 93-02 F-Bodies)? Like what is it capable of? Downfalls? Personal Experience?

they are very similar to the 700r4 used in the thirdgens. most of the same components were used and only altered to allow for teh elctronic shift control. they can be built to be very very strong, 600+ft/lbs can be put on teh input shaft if properly prepared.
the two weakest links in the tranny staock are teh same as in teh 700, teh sunshell is a POS and the 3rd gear accumulator is a little less beefy than needed for performance. both are easily modded/replaced in teh aftermarket, so no big deal.
for parts i suggest http://www.transmissioncenter.net/
they have a killer line of components and complete units all at reasonable prices

Could I put a B&M Mega Shifter in one of them?

you can, but it wouldn't be worth anything. the 4l60e is electronically controlled from inside the tranny. only thing you can do with a few of the shift kits and aftermarket stuff is hold it down a gear.
if you are looking to go to a beefed up unit that you can shift yourself you will most likely want to stick with a 700R4 and just build it up a bit.

91-93 are 4L60, non E trannies. it was a mild change to the valve body to prevent mid speed gear hunts and allow for quicker kick down. no real advantage, the mods they did to the valve bady are part of most shift kit installs anyway.
