I'm going to finally put my new torque arm in and i've been waiting to get a new driveshaft to put in at the same time. I've been driving around with an 88 iroc stock tq arm and my damaged ls1 driveshaft for long enough. I cant decide if I should get an OEM replcement or upgrade to a high performance based driveshaft that'll handle the power from my soon-to-be-built engine. BUT i will be doing a ford 9" rear when the engine goes in so i'm not sure if i should just wait till then to get an aftermarket driveshaft. the stock 10bolt and ford 9", I THINK, require different length driveshafts, but i'm not sure. I could always sell the one for the 10 bolt in the future, I figure it's about 130 for a ls1 replacemnt(used) or 300-400 for an aftermarket, what should i do? O yeah, i could also just but in a stock 3rd gen steel driveshaft(I have 2) to pass the time till the new rear.

The steel option sounds good for a temp job.

I hear alot of people go for the Ligenfelter 3.5's but I would assume their pricey.

i already got a driveshaft from an 02 SS, a while back, notice my first post was in dated Sept 13th...yeah...anyway, lol

Im pretty sure the GTA should have one, but even that isnt like the 3" ls1 style. That then will be up for sale as well. For now i'm just using the repacement one until my 9" gets built then i'm going to need a custom length shaft anyway i think.
