Can someone find me a list of companys that make complete rear-ends for third-gens? They would have to be dirrect bolt ins.

9-inch or 12-bolt it doesnt matter. Perferably with 3.73's and a good Unit that can support slicks at max 400hp.

Why not grab a 9 bolt out of a yard? Much stronger than the 10 bolt, and cheaper than a 9" or 12 bolt. A lot of 85 - 90 f-bodies had them

I kinda am interested in something new, so theirs less hastle of finding parts. My friends brother had a 9-bolt in one of his camaros, and he had a hard time finding a strong after-market support.

And even if I got a used one, i would have to spend extra to get a new unit installed w/ gears + install.

Moser 12 bolt....can go anywhere from 1800-2200 complete....there is also the 8.8 route, i remember seeing a thread on cz28 about a guy doing it for under a grand

400HP is nothing... How about your factory 10-bolt built with good parts? You'll be wasting your money on a 9" or 12-bolt in my opinion.

u agree with slow z completely.
hop over to www.thirdgen.org and check out the tech articles. they have info on building a strong 7.5 rear and it isn't even very expensive. for the price of a 9" or 12bolt you can build your rear and put a nice suspension on the car.

Now building a rear from a stock 10, would be the same if it were in a 4th gen correct?

yup. 4th gen would already have the better 28spline axles in it too.
