had a great time at the september meet, for october we are gonna take over south jersey.
there are no real details yet, info will start coming with in the next few days.
basically plan to be in the depford area some time towards teh end of the month, it is gonna be a blast.

I'd be up for a cruise also, even if it is like 2+ hours. I think you've got an extra 2 miles on me for distance. ;) Depends on the day and time for me. I have football games through early Nov. on Saturdays, and a wife and 16-month old boy at home so I don't like to be gone ALL day. We'll see once a date/location are picked.

I think ull like the Iroc. That thing is a beast. The Butterfly blower stickin out of the hood adds a nice touch. Depends on work for me also. Now I'm in delaware, next week new york....not sure where I'll be during the meet, when you decide a date. If it's the 16th or 17th, count me out, inventory, yuck!

For everyone taking 295 south to get to deptford, we should all meet up somewhere to cruise down together. There are a couple of exits off of 295 that have good meeting spots.

Meeting last time was awesome but I think its too far for me. The last meet took forever, and this is even further. I MIGHT make it if theres like 2-3 other locals that i can follow down there and back. I think we need to have one more north next time, u'd be surprised how sweet it is up here and how many f bodies would come along.

May i suggest the Chillies accross the street from the Deptford mall??
Although i am personally not a fan of the majority of the food there, I'm pretty sure their chips and caso dip has crack in it, and i cant help but love it. I have that, and for the main meal, their chillies cheasesteak everytime i go. And since the mall is right accross the street with its tons of spots.....

Ok, the person who is helping to organize this meet has spoken with the Applebees in Deptford. He was told to check back with their manager today, which he told me that he would do after his classes today. He is also going to speak with the manager of the Target to see if we will be allowed to park their and pop hoods.

I am sorry that this is impacting work schedules and such, but as stated before, I'll have the date posted up for sure ASAP.

Sort of unrelated to this thread, but not totally. Please let me know if you want me to look into the Edison NJ 'Crossroads Shopping Plaza' Applebees for either November or December. The Manager their told me that they needed at least 2-3 days advance notice for a group of 40-50 people, and the adjacent 'Stop & Shop' parking lot will hold at least 50 cars, not to mention the nearby 'Bank' parking lot.

The trans am is finished for now, (cant put any more money into it until spring, but the cd player works at least. Thanks TPIMonteSS!) So it will be making an appearance. With any luck, it'll look completely different by next summer. hard to swallow but i think the tumbleweed thing is on the right track...im tellin ya 1/4ly meets or even one every 4 months would be better...figure split into thirds as it is do one every 4 months...thats more than enough planning for a large meet...of course your gonna have small meets every month, even i get a little bogged down with them all and with any type of life(kids, jobs) sometimes people cant make it to two or 3 meets in a givin stretch of time. I'd say timeframe

March-S. Jersey meet(personally im thinkin racing then Food afterwards since the tracks will be open again)
June/July- Central Meet at Island...again a racing track then food thing would be nice...even if they dont wanna race just give out the info for the place where we'd eat they could show up there...

We should get an idea where everyone from north whos going is located. From that point, we'll meet up in a place that pretty much anyone could find. Then we roll down to central jersey. Central jersey does the same thing as north, and we meet them at their location. from there, we head down to south jersey. Is it at applebees?

now now thats not very nice...myself, tru2chevy, squirrel, dieselkicksyerass, cbrmike, njspeeder, superblonde all ended up showing up late....mostly cuz we got lost :( we got into deptford around 6pm which was pushing it on time as it was thanks to someone coming late :roll: we rolled into deptford on time but directions from mapquest(cbrmike) & yahoo both sucked so after about 20 mins of driving around we stopped in chilies and asked for directions...on the way there we saw mike & followed him the rest of the way...we stopped and chatted with 2 guys from ls2.com and eventually all went inside pizzaslut since applebees was still packed at 6:40 when we showed up...traffic in that area is a mob scene & if you get lost your in for a hurtin...to those who showed up I am very very sorry...as a central guy I shouldve never tryed getting a meet off the ground in unfamiliar territory, but I wont say im sorry for trying to get the meet started.
