over 1300 systems, parts, games, accessories, from Atari 2600 to PS2 and Xbox...21 boxes to ship everything...how the hell does one collect soooooo much stuff?

i'm sorry, but there is no way in hell that stuff is worth 12k. not happening. he's got 290 systems that work. ok, so if you get on average $100 per system that's only 29k, plus all of the hassle that goes with it. listing each item on ebay (or in your store where you'll have to pay rent, lights, employees) - no way, not for 17k. you'd be working for less than minimum wage, because you know it's going to take some time to get rid of all of that stuff.

saying 100 per system is being extremely generous, too, as the reconditioned gamecubes (new, $100) would only bring max. $50. assuming the prospective buyer makes out like a bandit on the more rare systems, he's still not going to average out very high.

oh, and think about the shipping costs. you'd be better off renting a truck and picking that stuff up yourself.

You can by stuff like that by the pallet, you pay X amount of money and you get a pallet with mixed electronics and game systems that you sell off piece by piece as a profit. I had a catalog that sold the weirdest stuff by the pallet...
