I am not a fan of scary movies. The commercials for this movie scare me enough to keep me away.

I actually saw that (and the sequel) a few weeks ago at my friend's dorm at NYU - the original japanese versions. I also saw the original or the Ring before the american. I gotta say this one was even scarier, how I dont know. Wanna see the american version

:nono: No scary movies....especially not that one, it looks really gory. Not going to happen, I'm already freaked out by my own house after seeing the grudge.

The Grudge was a great movie....predictable enough to make ppl in the theater laugh, but there were parts that kept you guessing. Also pretty suspensful, VERY creepy, and not too gory for those who aren't into that kind of thing.

Still not sure which scared Karen more though...the movie, or the clown room at the Barn of Horror in Shadybrook :clown:

i haven't been scared by a movie for a long time. i actually started going with the thought that i'd be disappointed - i want to be scared. but movies have lacked the ability to scare me for about twenty years or so... the last good one was the shining. i remember being scared ****less by Jaws... i didn't go into the water at the shore for five years or so after watching that one...

now i think i will like the grudge. in a coupla hours it'll be finished downloading. ten bucks? what ten bucks?

Is it a cammer though? If so, you may lose alot of the effects, as they were very shadowy.

I think you will enjoy it. I can't say that it actually scared me, but it def. made me jump several times when we were in the theater.

Loews is only 5bux(normal is $9) for me, mom works at Cooper hospital and gets all the coupons she needs, I don't know if these coupons work anywhere else or if she can get mass quantities of them  but if i can, i give em out for 5.50, but you can't see movies out for less than 10days

but, that movie was creepy. The audience keep shrieking and laughing. I like Ritz Movies a little bit better with the more mature crowds i guess...

Oh and did this movie remind you a little of the ring

It had alot of suspence and i jumped plenty of times.....but 2 things pissed me off.....
1. The damn charactors are hopeless dumbasses, every damn time they go lookin for the noises they get owned prison style. I'd be the hell out of there if i saw that creepy ass kid.
2. Those ghosts were damn ********.

Ahh, ok. Then yes, they did have a similar feel. Weren't they both produced in Japan before being re-made/re-released here?
