View Full Version : An Impound that came in
I work for Roxbury Twshp, and the place we all meet at in the morning is somewhat of a bone-yard. Theres a recycling center, then the shop where the sanitation crew meets, and in the back is an old "almost-falling-down" cement factory with old police cars and Police Impounds in front of it. The township bought this property off County Concrete, thats why theres an old factory there. But Came in prolly a week ago sits a 1989 V8 Camaro with only 55,000 miles on it! The tan seats were gutted open with looks to appear to be knives and scissors, but the exterior is really really nice. From what I hear, every year they sell these police impounds for like 500-1000$. I feel like sneaking over there after work to yank the doors off for my bird. Mustve been a nasty drugbust. The guy that owned it was from Pennsylvania and had his passport laying in the console. Sucks for him ;-)

Sure it's only 55k and not 155k? Either way, that's cool. Which motor does it have?

it could be 55. My 86 TA has 54 and change
Yep, 55k miles. The body is straight, no flaws... but the interior is gutted. Ill grab the VIN# when I go to work tomorrow and post up the carfax report.

yeah, most of the larger townships have their own. the smaller ones usually let the county dump them for them, for a small consignment fee, of course. you really have to keep your eyes open, lots of auctions going on in the state, but the insiders would rather not have the general public show up, which is why they usually don't get advertised very well.
