I gave up on my spark plugs today :(
I was only able to do the drivers side plugs, and I didnt even get to change the stupid wires either.
I hate the entire LT-1 Set-up. Now I miss my 85'
I spent like $100 on maitnance stuff. I got some regular Bosch Plugs, AC Delco replacement wires, AC Delco Oil Filter, Castrol Synthetic Oil, And Outlaw Fuel Injector cleaner.
I'm dropping it off at a shop. I have 0 patience

I'd reconsider taking it to a shop. You're going to get raped on the labor. Just have some patience, get the nose of the car up in the air, and go at it from underneath. It helps a lot.

<--- loves the 1st and 3rd gens for these reasons.
Stock the 3rd gens kind of suck with all the hoses going everywhere but once that's gone and no a/c, it's cake work. Takes me $10 minutes to change my plugs with 3 tools and a gapper. Oil changes take a little longer because I still have my oil filter and drain plug in the stock location which means I have to jack the car up. I'm waiting for a deal to pop up for the oil filter/cooler relocation kit. Last time at E-town swap meet the guy sold out of 5 kits in the first day! I was left with the option of getting half the parts for $5 :( no good. Once I get that stuff together I'll be able to change my oil without jacking up the car. It'll be so nice.

I could change out the plugs on my old 93 Z28 Indy 500 Pace Car in under 3 hours easily. Changing the wires was a different story, especially with the supercharger getting in the way on the driver's side. No special tools needed either. Don't let a shop rape you, plus they could screw something up and say it wasn't their fault.

definitly dont have a shop rape you for $100-200 for labor on 1/2 the plugs/wires...some ive heard wont even change the pass rear plug because of the difficulty getting to it.

My friend with his 95 had to swap a water pump and did his plugs. I heard all about how much of a pain it was. And that is probably why he was contemplating getting rid of it... because he's finally having to replace stuff and he's only at the 60,000 mark.
