blufbird, j0n, and cbrrmike..... are you guys going heads up or bracket style?
i am gonna see if we can put something together with the tracks. they are usually cool about giving clubs a few lanes to mess around.
heads up team is lookin a little thin right now. anyone care to join me to fight with teh big boys?

depends on how big the big boys are....im not to sure about bracket racing the m6  im not that good.

btw....you still have that m6 for sale that came with your motorswap?

NJSPEEDER
11-13-2004, 12:48 PM
looks like most of the heads up crowd will be playing in the mid to high 10's unless someone pulls out somehting really big over the winter. that is only gonna be a few people though. so even with an 11 second car you could go rounds with a good draw.

Matt

NJSPEEDER

well, we have a good number of people jumping on board. we need to get a few more people set up for heads up.
our heads up team will be outnumbered by north and south. that should make them feel extra silly when they lose :grampsch:

Matt

NJSPEEDER
11-14-2004, 09:09 PM
it si too late to talk to e-town adn island about getting lanes since they both shut down with in the next few weeks for winter. so it will have to be a next season thing.
so we all have time to prepare to kill the north and south jersey squads. :)

All that practice as a youngin' tho? Assuming she is approximately around our age, and assuming you developed like a normal little boy (which I suppose could be debated), I think you have a few years of experience with the stick over her...

Well, even if she's 5 years older, you should have started earlier than she did. But again, I am assuming normalcy... ;)

from the rest of the board and the rumblings of what people are putting in over the winter it looks like the heads up crowd will all be mid 11's or quicker. this should make for a nice little "street" car show. :)

Just as a note, i think we can set up the heads up people by who they want to run?

Because I mean most of already know what some people run.

Like if I were to run heads up against Jersey TA, i already know Im going to be raped, because I know his times compared to my own.

But I could run Jon, because are cars are fairly similar, and fall into the same catagory in 1/4 times.

Just food for thought.

NJSPEEDER

we will see how ti all shakes out. any car can beat any other car on the right day.
that is why you run the races.
maybe once we figure out when all this is gonan happen we will set up a maximum et that you must be under to compete in heads up. that would make the decision making for everyone involved pretty easy :)
only trick will be leaving teh number high enough that a good number of cars can get involved.

Heads up racing is going to be run in standard ladder-type format.

If you can't hang with the fast guys, you're gonna get owned......

heads up will be won somewhere in teh mid to low 10's most likely. maybe someone is plannign to creep into the 9's. i would say if you have a car capable of about 11.0 or better you will have a shot if you can react, and if you can hang with teh 10.5 or better crew you have a chance to win.
