Went to the junkyard yesterday and I could not believe what I saw. There sat a 1982 Z28 Indy 500 Pace car that was being scrapped for parts. The car was still mostly there with the original crossfire setup, body was intact with no noticable damage. It was missing the emblems but had the indy 500 decal on the outside pillar. The Odometer had 075,xxx miles on it.The car was only missing the steering column and drivers seat from what i saw.Overall it really didnt look that bad.It was a very sad sight to see a car like that in a junkyard

despite what you saw, there probably was something major wrong with it. NOBODY would be stupid enough to junk a perfectly good pace car. Even someon who knew nothing abou cars would know that theres something special about a pace car.

idk about that one. there are plenty of car-ignorant rich folks out there who would just junk it :?

For a while their was someone in my town selling one of those pace cars. It looks pretty sad though.

I also believe that to be true.Just this past summer I found a 1984 Indy Fiero in a junkyard that also looked in fairly good shape
