I'm currently in a debate with someone I know (unfortunately) He has a 03(i think) mach 1 mustang, and hes insisting that it has an Alpha Romeo block. I say that alpha romeo makes little 4 cylinder engines for tiny little touring cars and that if i had an alpha romeo engine in an american v8 car, i would be ashamed and not tell anyone. I've asked a few people, and nobody knows for sure, but they dont think it has a romeo block. Im asking the masses now: What kinda block is it? If anyone has any websites or related info, please include a link. If I'm right, next time i see him i wanna pummel him with information showing him that hes wrong. Hes an *******. he deserves that kinda treatment.
stop spending money on non-performance mods and get a decent performance setup in ur t/a then add n2o and pummel him on the track

its not an Alpha romeo block, its more than likely a Romeo block...thats pretty probable since the old pre 03 Cobras had the same DOHC motor

Why would you be ashamed? Even if it was true (which it isnt), , Alfa Romeo makes some quality products, and most of their products are hand made in Italy. Its quality top notch stuff. It blows away the craftsmanship of your standard american made small block.

Look at alpha romeo cars. there tiny little 4 cylinder cars, and the fastest they probably go is 110. Im not saying that its a bad engine, im just saying that the only alpha romeo engines ive seen are 4 cylinder.

I think its a Romeo block (like Romeo & Juliet)
Engine: 4.6-liter/280.0 cu.-in. DOHC 32v V8 (Similiar to the 99-02 Cobras, minus the shaker hood)

And the car is Alfa Romeo (Ro-MEy-O)

Romeo is where the engine is made. The Mach1 block is a Romeo block, as are all the Ford modular motors are. The SVT's motor is hand built, but the motor and parts are made at the Romeo plant.

I was wondering when you'd post an answer  That brings me to my next question. SVT: He says its a completely seperate company, i say its a lineup, like SS, or AMG, or M. Whats the final answer Al?

Lineup. It's Ford's in-house high-performance division.

SVT is part of Ford, but they pretty much do what they want. I belive that SVT has its own budget for itself, but the SVT people are paid by Ford. I am not 100% of that, becaue I really could care. SVT has its own warranty program, and has its own engine building plants to hand build the Cobra and GT motors.
SS is different as its a branch of GM Performance Division. GMPD puts on badges per division.
SVT is more or like like PVO(Chrysler/Dodge), AMG and M.
Holden's performance divison, HSV, is a seperate division and is loosly based with Holden. HSV uses Holden cars in racing, and has made such sick machines as the infamous 427 Monaro.
I really wish Alfa sold cars here in the US again. Alfa is part of GM BTW...well, GM owns X% of Alfa.

Yeah, I head that along with many other cars such as Fiat, Peugo(sp?), etc....but I doubt it.
Alfa would need a lot to come here.

Peugot is here...sort of. Theres a peugot dealership in ramsey, but that place is shady as hell, and all of the peugots there (none for sale. they only repair them there) are ancient. But, there is at least 1 new peugot around here. its an orange one. dont know who owns it, or where its from...but yea.

how is it a dealership if they don't sell any cars? if they just repair them, that would make it a repair shop, wouldn't it?

Yeah I 've pulled through that place (on Route 17?) as well, Peugots all over the place and a couple of classics in the showroom.

That Pantera
1987 Pantera GTS
should be a 351 cleavland w/ a ZN 5 Speed Transmission, which was a lemanse winner in the Ford GT40
One of only 2 made that year
