Like the title reads... I am just thinking about it... I need something more economical to drive all the time and I don’t want to bring my car up to school. I have a place to keep it in a garage but I am wondering if it will be worth it one day…I always hear that classic line “ I shouldn’t have sold that car from married or older guys… I don’t want that to happen to me…I like to think I have a pretty rare car but how rare…. If I sell it I’ll get a daily driver and a project (chevelle, nova, 60’s camaro, old corvette). I just don’t want to be sitting around in 10 or 15 years wishing I had not sold the car… and finally what could it possible be worth?
i forgot to add i can afford a beater right now..im only saying i think i want an older car for the weekends.

Dont sell it!
Buy a cheepo car. You can get a Hundyia Elantra for like $4,000. Buy something cheap, even if its embarassing. But do not sell that car!

I have thought of the same thing, only when I was going to moddify the car.
I thought..."How many fully loaded 1987 Z28's are there out there? And then how many are still with there original owner? Will third gens one day become as popular as first gens are now? Should I really tear it apart?"
Well....you can see which road I took. I say keep the 84, and maybe get a econobox. I'd have to agree that getting a little Civic would be the best. Not much out there from the domestic market for the past 10 years.

my fear when it is a car like yours is what the next owner may do to it. there were not a lot fo L69 cars made, less than half of them were 5spd cars, and most were used for some sort of racing in their lives and are beat.
the other big thing is that i have not met anyone yet that hasn't regreted selling their 3rd gen.

dont sell it. and screw 4k for a beater. you can get one for like, 1k. just look around. and i second on the "regretting selling a 3rd gen" I still kinda miss my old 87, even if it was a 2.8. that think was a tank. couldnt kill it. oh well, i've got my 86, and by january, a 90 or 91 (cant remember which) RS is comming my way to work on
If you want a beater, I have a 85 chevy full size pickup for a grand. 305 and a TH-350, 31 inch tires and american racing rims. really fun beater, believe me

thanks...im actually looking for a 4wd beater...4wd, 4 or 6 cylinder, stick...mileage not crazy...small pickup/jeep..i want one in decent shape and reliable....i like the idea of a late 80's 4runner with a removable top or a jeep wrangler...
i think im going to hold on to my car for a while..
besides i want to try out that aluminum driveshaft i just got (thanks tim)..
