Anyone know if K&N air intakes will cause you to fail NJ inspections? I wouldn't know, cause I'm titled and registered in Maryland...

No, but you and your twin Ricer brother can have many arguments over performance until you agree on K&N.

ahaha...

or you could fight with your dad when your music is too loud, so he turns his crap up. Then you go turn yours up untill you reach the same song and both agree that the song is bad ass, then give eachother high five.

Not to make anybody's brains pop but it COULD make you fail. Yes, I said could, and I'm right. Listen to this; what does the K&N filter have that no filter and paper doesn't.... oil. Believe it when I tell you I've seen guys fail inspection when earlier that week they installed a new K&N filter. If you don't have a sniffer test or the filter is dirty and dry then it should pass. Just put the paper in for inspection, it's like a 5 minute job.

It COULD. Crappy gas COULD make you fail too. Adjusting your timing COULD make you fail as well....but chances are better that you will fail on something else.

if they happen to pop your hood youd fail too, unless its a direct drop in replacement with the sticker they give you...as far as i know open element filters arent legal

nope, the k&n FIPK's are 50state legal and come with CARB and federal highway approval numbers. if they said anything to you about it all you would have to do is show them the info, it is actually on a sticker that you are supposed to put next to yoru factory emissions sticker.
