I try to keep my mom out of it as much as possible. When ever she gets involved, suddenly my desicions get overridden and I cant do what I want to do. I could have bought a 1970 Z28 for 300 bucks, she said no. then I was gonna buy a 1963 Ford Falcon with a 390 and a four speed for 400 bucks, again denied.

first tiem that happened i was in high school and on my parents insurance so i had no choice. after high school i started a policy of telling them after i made the purchase. it is harder for them to refuse once you pull up in the driveway. :)

I get that speech a lot too. Then i get him behind my car and rev it to let out immense clouds of smoke and the disgusting popcorn/art sound of my blown out muffler then i got "well it's not gonna kill you, save up for it" :(
