View Full Version : so many fbodies by me, so few members...
ok, im convinced that almost no one from my area is a member here. Â*I think Savage messiah is the closest to me in tenafly, and then TPI Monte SS.Â*I see so many f-bodies every day yet no one is on this board, id try to flyer cars, but thats a whole different story. Â*Tonight i followed a silver 4th gen from dumont all the way to the palisades center mall. Â*I just had to know what was up with the guy, it was a silver 98+ camaro with the commando wing. Â*and no other mods, i dunno maybe its just me but that wing doesnt fit an f body. Â*also his taillights seemed to be wired wrong, 1 brake light wasnt working, and the other side, looked like he had parking lights and brakes in the wrong holes. Â* When we got into NY, cops were everywhere so it took me a while to pass him, once i did he looked over and i just slowly pulled away, im pretty sure it was only a 6cyl and he was probably wondering what the hell i was, haha. Â*then in peirmont on the way back home, i passed a black 93-97 Trans Am which was at a stop sign as i made the turn past him. Â*My GF said he was staring big time. Â*I love it when people stare . Â*but anyway, id be surprised if i ever see another member while on the road, to date i think only 5 members have actually seen my car in person. Â*oh well.

They always say they are interested. Â*I may have said this before, but In the north people drive F-bodies just to drive the "name" Â*they dont give a **** if theirs a car club devoted to it. Â*Its either for that reason or they just drive the car from point A to point Be. Â*Ive gone up to people and they dont even know what the **** an f-body is or what the **** they are driving. Â*Pisses me the **** off. Â*I see alot but their mostly beet to **** or run down v6's.
Were a different breed. We drive our cars with pride, which is ****ing awsome. But some could give less of a ****.
Hell I have met some awsome people through NJFBOA, I met more cool/chill people through this then I have met in 4 years of high school and 2 years of college combined.
**** them if they dont want it they wont get it.

Ugh, I was on Hickory Ave in bergenfield maybe a half hour ago, coming down towards Tenafly... right after that elementary school i saw on my left a black late 4th gen camaro w/ altezzas and a commando wing. But that's not bad enough... this thing had a single big exhaust tip. ONE EXHAUST TIP, what teh ****, it was 3 or 4 inches. but yea... i should get some flyers cuz I know what you mean. we should get on it...

IIRC, the later LT1 cars that were "massaged" by SLP got a single 4" exhaust with only 1 tip on the driver's side. I don't care for the look, but it is possible that it was stock.

My family is german. not 5 minutes goes by where theres not an angry drunk person around. When I'm drunk, im stupid. This is the best piece of evidance that I'm adopted.
ok no argueing in my post, lol
back to a reasonable topic...i think there should be a list of DOs and DONTs of fbodies... like ..
DO install an exhaust, DONT put coffe can tips on it
DO change directionals and markers to clear, DONT buy altezzas
DO apply racing stickers on glass, DONT create a "shopping list" on body panels....etc, etc, etc.

DO enjoy driving on nice days with the t-tops off.
DONT enjoy driving on nice days with spinners on your wheels. I saw that once, a while ago. :barf:
true2chevy..in bergenfeild, anything with altezzas is definately not an SLP car, lol and if by some freak chance it is, the owner shoudl be shot

DONT paint interior plastic trim
DONT buy "racing" floormats
DONT get carried away with colored wire loom under the hood
to date i think only 5 members have actually seen my car in person. Â*oh well.

Besides my friend who drives a Z that's perpetually being fixed, there's nobody else in town that seems to give a ****. I see LS1s all the time, sometimes an LT1, and I usually give a nod or something, and get some angry look and they floor it away. Who knows, I'm up north, and I'd love to meet up with a club, but I'm always busy. Me and my friend with the Z, when our cars are both running, we cruise two at a time any chance we have. My other friend has a WS6 that he drives on occasion who is the same way. We love our cars, but besides us it feels that nobody gives a **** around here.

sorry but i disagree with shaving off embems. i took of all my emblem and primed my ninty three and i would show little ricers my engine and tell them it was a v-6. and they would beleve me 8 out of 10 times. then i would race them at quarter throttle to make some change. now the car is black with ss emblems any body that knows camaros knows there was no ss in ninty three. i like the emblems thats all that matters to me. but i just wanted to tell you about the sorry camaro i saw a while ago it was a 3rd gen it had a transformer sticker on the hood and jap. symbols writing whatever on the back window. i just wanted to slap to owener.

actually there was an SS package in '93. it was an embarrassment to say the least. all it consisted of was a medalion on each sail panel and one on the console top.
someplace around here i actually have one of the medalions that my friends adn i liberated from a car at a dealership. if i can find it i will scan it in for everyone to see.

Honestly i think some ppl dont deserve to drive a f-body, theres a line for everything , this is what happens when you give a 16 year old an f-body that just wathed FF2, sometimes i feel like screaming at ppl for what they have done to a beautiful piece of art....i think we should open a counseling hotline for these kinds of ppl how does 1800-imamoron sound??... wells thats my 2 cents
DRIVE HARD FAST AND WASTE ALOT OF GAS..we go by Gallon Per Mile Not Miles Per Gallon..cuz we got 5.7 on the rest of there asses..

DONT ever use "tireflys"
When I first got my car when I was 16 (before I became a devoted F-body lover) I put tire flies on my car.
I was young and stupid what can I say. And the damn things rusted on. I also wanted to put an under car neon kit on, but never got around to it. THANK GOD. Luckily I'm now 20 and no longer stupid. OK well I'm still stupid but not when it comes to my car.
