It looks like there are about 6 cars or so in there....could be a cheap way for some of us to get in on the action. Post if you want in for like $20 or $30 and I'll bid later.

Ok so that's 3 of us so far for about $20 each. I figure I won't bid more than $180 or so later...that's $30 a car. Let me know if anyone wants to go higher. In the meantime keep the list going so we have enough people to get in on this.

I'm a maybe. Paul, I'd go ahead and get it anyways. You could sell them to friends and what not, gifts, you never know. I bet you'll be able to sell them at the meets :) .

foff667

keep in mind these cars run $53.00 with tax included brand new so 20-30 bucks is a steal on these cars...i normally use an auction stealer program on something that ends during the day time fwiw might be something to look into hardcore. I would say $25 is the max id pay for these shipped though...1/2 price basically cuz you still dont know the condition.

foff667

nothing back as of yet.

foff667
01-07-2005, 11:40 AM
but honestly i have alot of extra parts including motors that i could give people...the worst that could happen to them is if the circuit board is fried which i cant see that happening to all of them if we got all 4 of us to give $40 we would almost definitly win the auction and have 2 cars each...even if one is just a parts car thats still not a bad deal.

Mike
01-07-2005, 11:52 AM
ill pay forty for two cars, for sure

un maybe me, im a definito

HardcoreZ28

Ok I got an e-mail back saying there are 8 cars but not all of them work. I'm waiting to hear back how many actually do work. The auction is at $127 now...that's around $15 a car plus shipping right now, but we don't know how many actually work right now.

Hopefully I'll know soon.

foff667
01-07-2005, 12:11 PM
Foff667-$40-2cars
Cbrrmike-$40-2cars
garretwp-$20-1car
HardcoreZ28-$20-1car

thats $120 definite so far but the bid is at $127 right now...we need 2 more peeps to take these last cars or for someone to put out a little extra for a second car...like i said I'll go to $25 per car max which if all agreed to that were talking a $150 bid at this point and there would still be 2 cars left over to figure out who gets what...I'll put in $60 for 3 cars and try and sell one if it comes down to it but would hope someone would step up and put $20 for one of these cars.

garretwp
01-07-2005, 12:14 PM
But the thing is not all the cars work. So we need to know how many work and what the issues are with them.

gimmi a minute to check my email...i asked him how many work.

foff667
01-07-2005, 12:19 PM
ok didnt state how many work...said some are incomplete, $15 shipping flat rate :? dunno at this point...becoming less and less worth it to me.

HardcoreZ28
01-07-2005, 12:22 PM
I'd go in for 2 cars at $50-$60 and try to sell one off or part out a broken one maybe?

foff667
01-07-2005, 12:27 PM
did u email him back about how many work? if so how many? How many people are still interested? Im still down for $50 tops.

HardcoreZ28
01-07-2005, 12:33 PM
Is that $15 for all 8 or for each one? I e-mailed him back to find out how many work...hopefully he'll get back to me.

foff667
01-07-2005, 12:35 PM

go to www.atomicmods.com The guys sells every stock part off of these cars, so you can rebuild the non-working ones for a good price. Me, Tim, and Bill also have some parts that could be donated or sold cheap to fix non-running cars.

thats the only reason im going in...like i said the worst that it could be is a toasted circuit board...hopefully its some minor **** but I guess we'll see. Personally im getting one for my wife and the other as a twisties car vs. the drag car i have now

i emailed him a little while ago havent heard back yet though about how many run.

Mike
01-07-2005, 01:45 PM
im still down at 40ish bucks

foff667
01-07-2005, 01:49 PM
still wanna find out how many work first...if 6 work i think hardcore & I are taking 4 of the 6 and you and garrett can have the other 2 at this point...if less then 6 work i think its pointless to buy them unless its some minor **** like a motor which in that case I'll give up a few extra $ and put my spare motors in them.

01-07-2005, 01:57 PM
Still need someone?

HardcoreZ28
01-07-2005, 02:02 PM
Still haven't heard back from him. I'm guessing we can probably make 6 work with parts from 2 donors right? I can go with just 1 if someone else wants 1.

45 minutes left only....I need to know by 3:30 who's in for about $25 a car plus parts from the donors.

foff667
01-07-2005, 02:04 PM
Im a definite one way or the other...not sure if we need more people alex...are you sure you dont want me to make the bid with my auction stealer?

HardcoreZ28

I should be able to take care of it....how does that program work though...sounds cool

It uses fancy algorithms to place your bid at the last possible second, that way you don't get beat by someone trying to get in at the last second.

foff667
01-07-2005, 02:17 PM
basiclly you put in your highest bid and it starts bidding with say 15 seconds less and can put in bids every 1/2 second till it wins the bid.

Yea, it's just a bit faster than eBay's 'Maximum Bid' function.

but its more like a backdoor cuz wont make a bid till theres 15 seconds left instead of making a bid with 2 mins left with a max bid and hope your first bid was over all the other peoples high bids and whatnot...makes bidding easier imo.

foff667
01-07-2005, 02:27 PM
18 mins left...all i gotta say i syou better win this auction...but dont go over say $180-190 for all the cars...that would be about $25 per car which would leave people plenty of room if any small repairs needed to be made...i think between myself, you and mike weve got about $150 into the pot and the other 2 could either be used as parts cars if they dont run or sold to garrett or alex or whoever wants them for now....crosses fingers that 6 of 8 run.

foff667
01-07-2005, 02:39 PM
ouch...up to nearly 180 i think it might be a bust :(

foff667
01-07-2005, 02:40 PM
i say dont bother hardcore...its gonna be over $200 with shipping...and closing in on 30 per car and we still dont know how many run.

01-07-2005, 02:41 PM
Yeah forget it.

foff667
01-07-2005, 02:43 PM
207+15 shipping final bid...$30 per car for 8 cars...and for all we know 2 could run...dont sweat it...ebay sux i found that out along time ago...look through the xmods stuff on there...you can get it cheaper strait through radioshack lol

Mike
01-07-2005, 03:39 PM
