View Full Version : I got kicked in the head 8 times last night
I went to a show last night and I got pretty roughed up. The bands playing were a wilhelm scream, most precious blood, the explosion and rise against was headlining. everything was going great, until rise against came on. I got booted in the dome 8 MF times by dumb ass crowd surfers (I hate crowd surfers). 2 of them got me square in the nose too. By the time I left the show, my friend anthony had to kinda hold me to make sure if I passed out I wouldn't fall down. I had curt drive back from the show cause I didn't think I could safely drive. I still can't trun my head to the right all the way. On a brighter note, it was well worth it. that was probably one of the best show I have ever been to.

that'll teach you to be in the middle of the mosh pit, or rushing the stage. i always hang out in the back of any club concert.
oh, and the last one, in case you were wondering, was a few years ago at a local club. anthrax was the headliner. it was my wife's first american music concert. what a show it was...
Yeah, I was one person away from being in the front. I just couldn't resist rushing the stage. the past few shows I've been to I just hung around in the back, but this show was too awesome for me to just stand around.

I hate when there are idiots in the pit. At a Slipknot / Mudvayne / Hatebreed show at Convention Hall in Asbury while Hatebreed was on this idiot was throwin' karate kicks in the middle of the pit and caught right in the nose....took me 15 mins to get it to stop gushing. But lets just payback was ....well....a real bitch...

Soulfly is awesome in concert! The roughest concert(s) I'v been to have been Slayer (small club in NYC in 1990), A concert called the New Titans on the Block back in the summer of 91 (Sick of it all, Sacred Riegh, Sepultura, Napalm Death, and a few more)...a lot of skin heads gangin up on people...got maced by security....it hurt the next morning and Merciful Fate (King Diamond's band) ...... a lot of crazy **** that night. The first time I actually got a little nervous at a show. I love Metal!!

i hate the punk/hardcore moshing....doing that gay windmill **** with their arms and kicking and ****. so stupid. metal moshing is the best. I had a great time at the Summer Sanitarium two summers ago...moshed straight through Mudvayne, Deftones, and Linkin Park, then took a break when Limp Bizkit came on. After they were done, back to the pit for Metallica :D metal rules.
an easy way to avoid being kicked by crowd surfers is to drop them when they get near you.

believe me, I usually do drop their asses, but everyone was packed in so tight that if I didnt try to hold them up, they would be sitting on my head.
Oh crap I just remembered a funny crowd surfer story. My friend josh hates crowd surfers and one wasn't going anywhere, but had each of his legs on each of joshes shoulders. Josh railed him in the nuts so F'ing hard and then threw him. Funniest thing I've ever seen!

i disagree, yeah it's the most violent, but at REAL hardcore/punk shows(SOIA, AF...)people will help you out if you get hurt, usually the person who knocks you down will help you out 1st...
plus without punk/hardcore dancing, metal pits wouldn't be like they are today.
Best Pit Evar:
Clash of the Titan tour-Opening-Danzig, Alice in Chains
-Headlining-Slayer/Anthrax/Megadeth
or
Misfits-5/96-1st show in Jersey(homestate) in 13+years and the Stone Pony
Slayer/Biohazard/Machinehead in 1994 was pretty rough too
nothing really beats the NYHC shows of the early 90's

I used to love Rise Against until I saw them in a picture wearing PETA shirts :( now I seriously refuse to listen to them, or go to their shows....
