Good Times at the January Meet

thanks to everyone who came out today. from my count we had 42 people attend the meet today. definately a good time.
we made a bunch of announcements today about what to expect in the coming year. i will throw up a thread detailing what to expect this year tonight or tomorrow so that everyone can be informed.
next month we are off to south jersey on february 12th. threaed for that will go up asap.

:cry: well for those who don't know i may be screwed outa owning an f-body due to points or the fact that my mother will know about the tickets(yes i said tickets)

Cruising down 31? (one lane highway) in a line of 7 cars of which i was number 6 with some random person in front of me stopped at a light. Just past the light is a passing zone with a decent brake in traffic coming the other way. I sped up and passed the person in front of me and got pulled over. Handed the dickhead all my information including my gold family member pba card. He immediately threw the pba card in my face and after looking at the insurance card, did the same with that. Came back to my window with a speeding ticket for 80 in a 40 and a reckless driving ticket. I asked to see his radar and he ignored me so i got outa the car and looked at the radar, which read 77. I then asked for his name since i couldnt read it on the tickets and he got out of his car and threatened to arrest me if i didnt get back in my car and leave asap. end of story and i'll have my pics up in a few minutes.

And I was fortunate enough to be hanging with BOTH groups yesterday...left the meet in Ewing and somehow ended up down in the Bordentown area, drifted into Philly with the gang Rob is referring to, back to Bordentown then on home up north by 5am, busy day but filled with fun. :D

As for the jOn situation, it really does suck.
I was right behind him when it all happened, and I forgot to you all that the cop almost hit me when he was trying to pull out after jOn, I couldn't stop in time to let him out so I just kept moving on by him blocking his way a little bit, but he still found what he was looking for unfortunately. :(

j0n, sorry to hear your bad luck. I have a similar story to yours when I first got my camaro but I was lucky and got off on everything. Your best bet is to show up to court. By doing this you will most likely not get any points but they will expect you to pay the fines. That's your best bet, oh, and don't show up to court without at least looking presentable. Not RICH, but a shirt and tie go a long way, trust me.

Hey Jon, sorry to hear about your tickets man. Definitely go to court well dressed and try to get the points dropped. That cop was an A-hole. If he would have arrested you, he would have gotten in deep **** for making a false official statement about how fast you were going. He just said that to scare you. If it was me, I would be in jail and suing the crap out of the state of NJ. Atleast then I could get the money to get my tranny fixed and my rear :wink:

On a tangent you might want to replace them so your car doesn't drop in value as fast. That and cops might not pull you over if in that rare case that you're caught speeding :) .
Paul, we (I) missed you man. Us thirdgeners were down to 1 pushed into the far corner of the lot :( . I'm pushing Justin to get his on the road. Mine runs great but a few small things keep me off the road. It would be nice to show up with a bunch of thirdgens for next meet.
