That sucks... but kind of funny at the end with the electronics just chillin and swinging around. He's got a bunch of nice toys in that thing, like the thermocoupled EGTs.
That wreck is major reason why I like radials with stiff sidewalls!

figues you would notice that over teh look on teh guys face in teh rear view mirror. that was an "oh ****" and a half look.
i have been watching the vid over and over, can't decide if that is a blower or turbo spool you can here. definateyl a whistle of something applying pressure to the car. since it was a mustang adn had such a strong exhaust note i would suspect it is a centrifugal blower. :)

It's a turbo. My buddy found it on a mustang site.

Yeah, I think it's a turbo too. No non-geek drag racer would have EGTs on a non-turbo car :) . With big turbo's a lot of exhaust sound can get by. They aren't what you'd call the most efficient turbo setups but what high horsepower turbo dragster cares about gas milage  .

Yeah we were there that day (opening day 2 weeks ago) and that clown held us up from running for a while, luckily it was pretty dead and I still got like 9 runs in (could've had more) and a new best. 8)
