Catch it on the Speed Channel. Watch the prices this year. Hopefully my JL8 car will go up another $25K in value. There should be a blue 69 RS/Z28 JL8 crossram car going across the block tomorrow. I predict $150K for this car and the documenation is questionable on it.

I wanna know what the guy was thinking paying $60,000ish for an F-150 with hydrolics and a sub in it? Wow...it was displayed at SEMA. How many of his ricer or redneck friends even know what SEMA is?

Lot #442 69 TA Ram III went for $58k. Seems like a deal considering most of the other online prices I have seen are in the 70's.

I heard the car isn't quite up to par and has a lot of shabby repro parts on it. The 69 Camaro SS350 conv that went for $57K and didn't even have the original motor was ridiculous.

Ah ok. I had the volume muted when it came up since I was on the phone. Regardless of the condition though, I'd take it. :)

pricing looks like people are trying to prove somehting. the bidding that i saw last night was completely out of line with prices i have seen online. guess we can expect collector prices to jump again, even longer til i cna afford any cars on the dream car list :(

The 69 Z28 RS JL8 crossram car is coming up soon. It should break $100 and I hope it goes to $150K even though the paperwork is questionable.
how is yours, paperwork, numbers wise. and hows it coming along with the restoration?
(a bit off topic i know)

Well, it only brought $100K but I think people were worried about the originality. That car was built in Nov 68 and the disc brake rear end was dated Jan 69 which would never have happened. It had a protect-o-plate with it, but it was questionable and thought to be fake. My car has the protect-o-plate and the build sheet and is all numbers matching. My car still hasn't been painted yet, but once it is it will go back together fast.

jeese they had a lot of camaros on last night

Well, it turns out the guy with the blue RS/Z28 JL8 crossram car ended up buying back his own car for $100K. So he had to pay the 8% seller's and buyer's fee. He's not real happy spending $16K to keep his own car. That's why all the cars were listed at no reserve. BJ talked most of the people into listing their car with no reserve because they could just buy it back if it didn't bid as high as they wanted. That way BJ still makes their 16% commission. Next year will not be the same because a lot of people got screwed this year.
that dosent seem right at all......
btw, do they still have the auction in atlantic city at some point in the year? i remember going a couple years ago, and it would be a good trip now that im 21
did someone mention atlantic city?!?!?!
