is there anybody who uses relocation brackets on the rear lower control arms,on a 3rd. gen car with a 12 bolt moser rear, stock style susp., to help with traction, for drag racing, and does it change your pinion angle, and take the horse power.

It will not change the pinion angle or affect horsepower in any way.

He wasn't worried about it taking horsepower away....I think he wants to know if the welds that hold the brackets to the rear will take the power.

And yes, they will hold fine, as long as the installer knows how to lay down a decent weld.

I'm no expert on suspension technology, however I've seen people add relo brackets and eliminate wheelhop with no other mods. They are generally recommended on lowered cars, but I think all F-bodies will benefit.

From my experience the LCA relocation brackets were the best thing I ever did to the rear suspension.... given the similarities between the 3rd Gen and 4th Gen rear suspension, they should be just as effective on a 3rd Gen. I have a Strange 12-bolt, with a complete Spohn suspension, over 600rwHP and the brackets are holding up just fine. A buddy of mine used the Spohn stuff on a 30th SS convertible running 8.6@160+mph, and the stuff held up fine. All the parts were "standard" Spohn parts, except for some extra braces on the torque arm.

Yeah.... I hate to use his name because everybody accuses me of "name dropping". :) But his next project will probably be a 3rd Gen with a big inch nitrous motor.... anybody got a really clean chassis for sale?
