Does anyone know of anywhere where I can get reprogrammed for 3.42s? I wanna avoid a mailorder tune if I can and go the cheapest way possible, and while I wouldn't mind doing a full tune I don't have the money. My friend works at Hawthorne Chevy and asked for me and they said they can't do it, so I dunno, I was going to check Fisher in Bergenfield but I doubt it since they couldn't even copy the keys.
Any help appreciated

see if anyone local from camarov6.com has a hypertech programmer or hptuners for a 97. it would be a 2minute fix

you could ask craig(little G) if he wants to buy another license for his hptuners...for him they are still only $200 so im sure he could do a gear change and maybe a few other things at cost if you'll pay for the license.

well then go ahead and buy a programmer yourself for $400-500 or find someone that will do it on the cheap...good luck finding guys with licenses for 97's

I'm just saying that I don't have an extra 200 bucks, the rear is gonna run me 225 and im putting myself a tad bit in debt on that one (I can work it off once my car is fixed), and my first priority is to get the car running so if I have to I'll hold off the programming. but I'd rather not for accuracy of speedometer, odometer and everything else

find a guy named wait4me on the message boards...he might not be on camarov6 but hes on a ton of other v6 boards including clubgp.com and ls1tech he does mail tunes for like $75 i think but youd have to take out your comp and send it to him.

I want to say yes to that deal right now, but before I fully commit I have to get this whole rear thing sorted out, as soon as I purchase one I'll let you know. Thanks

okay, sounds good. You can drive around without changing it temporarily, it won't be that big of a deal.

James, I had them in mind originally but now with this new rear coming, Bill hit it right on. And you're the one who told me Friday night to go with HPTuners... :knock:

you could even go with dhp for a little cheaper if you really wanted...its $399 for 2 cars for their stuff.
