I did an oil change and tune up on it. I decided that since the motor has about 150K on it, I should put some good oil in it, so I stepped up and got Moblie 1. As for the tune up, it still had the original plug wires on it dated november 1995 Â* !!! Luckily it had newer plugs in it, although the gap was slightly off. It's supposed to have .035 gap, well the ones that were in there had more like.062 gap! The inside of the distributor cap looked like ass too. It ran fine before, but now it seems a lot smoother and seems to have a bit more power. Chirping second is no problem now Â*8) :drive: .

*EDIT*
I replaced the fuel filter too, the gas that came out of it kinda looked like mud-water! :omg:

10 year old plug wires?!?!?!?!?!?!
you will prolly get better mileage with the new tune up too. which is always a good thing. :) save money on gas and buy speed parts with it :)

Oh yeah, I cleaned the throttle body too. That had some pretty nasty sludge all over it. It also got a new air filter. Now I just have to wash the thing. :?

I remember when I changed out the plugs in the Taurus. It used to take a whole tank of gas to get to my old school, after it took a little more then half...but eh...they were the original plugs from 1995, so 5 years I thought was a good time to replace them. Didnt do the wires though...oh well.

still gotta change the cap and rotor on my T/A. Doing the plugs and wires were bad enough when I was doing the headers.

but dont you love the feel of a good oil change and tune up. You can almost hear the car take a deep breath and go ... "AH....
