Wal-Mart proposed a 74,998-square-foot store

75,000 square foot ordinance??? hahhahhahhaha, Wal-mart just **** on that county..

just goes to show that wal-mart does what they want, and how they want, and they will get around any law to do so. there really isnt much to stop them anymore

K-Mart+Sears= S-Mart

in additon to this...thanks to Kmart's top brass, Sears will be open on Easter Sunday, first time ever.
Id like to see how many people are actualy going to show up for that one.

I was reading that Walmart wants to pass a bill to raise current DOT truck driving regulations.

Currently its 11 hours of drive time, in a 14 hour day. Meaning theres 3 hours to load, unload, and eat.
Walmart wants a 16 hour day, as long as a driver takes a unpaid 2 hour break. This allows 3 more hours of drivetime. I can barely handle 11 hours of driving when I'm sent on the road. I think its a very bad idea.

Walmart has become a machine destined to take over everywhere. Hell, when I take my North Carolina trips I see more and more being built off the interstate.
