Sooo I had an accident tonight. Â*I was getting to work in Montcalari around 6ish. Â*I was backing into a spot, glanced back to make sure there were no cars in the spots, looked at my mirror to guide to the lines... and BAM!!! i thought "WHAT THE ****?!?!" Â*Turns out, an african-american woman in a Toyota Camry tried to CUT AROUND BEHIND ME as I was MOVING BACKWARDS with my REVERSE LIGHTS ON into a PARKING SPACE in a parking lot. Â*She was in the freaking row of parking spots speeding trying to get around me. Â*So we leave our cars right where they were, called the cops, along with 2 of my coworkers who led me there and were going to another account. Â*1 stayed as a witness. Â*Cops came, I told them what happened and all, they took information and all that. Â*

Here's the somewhat humorous part. Â*I got out of my car and looked at hers... DAMN. Â*Rear right door SMASHED in, the panel inbetween that door and the wheel ****ed up, and the hubcap had flown off. Â*I look at my car... hardly ANYTHING. Â*some scruffs, a couple scratches, and a nick on my exhaust tailpipe.

So I was sorta surprised, my bumper wasn't even cracked and her car had at least a few thousand in dmaage. Â*I couldn't and my coworker's couldn't see ANY way that the accident was my fault - they didn't even have enough time to beep their horns that she was coming when they saw her, and they were in their cars. Â*

One of them called me tho as I was headed home, and told me company insurance covers going to whatever locations, so tomorrow morning I'm calling my boss to ask him about it and get the company insurance info, then if need be call my insurance company to make a report. Â*Not sure if I want to try to make a claim for paint or the tailpipe (well that prob not its hardly even visible), will sleep on that. Â*

Oh, and right before I left work I saw a 17 yr old girl making a left hit a guy - one of the bouncer's (i was working at divas lounge in montclair, on bloomfield ave) uncle, a sorta old (late 60's?) guy. Â*Eventful night.

That sucks, but you can probably buff most of that out..which is good. Don't touch it yet, get an estimate and let her pay..then buff it yourself and make some money :D

what a frickin coincidence...this morning at 530 i was awaken by the sound of my alarm going off...this turned out to be the reason why...http://image42.webshots.com/42/8/26/47/312182647VKiAws_ph.jpg...turns out some lady was driving home down my street, fell asleep at the wheel, and nailed my neighbors van that was parked behind me, LIFTED IT OFF THE GROUND(as witnessed by my dad), and the van went into my car and pushed it forward about 2 feet into the car in front of me...damage to me was very minimal(a couple scuffs and cracked paint on the front a bit)...but check out my neighbor's van(the black on the rear is the ladies front bumper under the van)http://image48.webshots.com/48/8/26/99/312182699TYDmcA_ph.jpg...and the ladies carhttp://image24.webshots.com/24/8/27/49/312182749rfnIMv_ph.jpg...oh well, free detailing for me...

Jus realizing, will me only having liability make a difference? I can still get her insurance (thats what her liability is for right?) to pay me?

Jus realizing, will me only having liability make a difference? I can still get her insurance (thats what her liability is for right?) to pay me?that means u just have to pay out of your pocket for repairs...then her insurance will reinburse you for whatever your final bill was...but if it was your fault it would be another story...

The battery on the Honda should read Die Easy

Kasey, I was involved in a much worse accident. I didn't feel any pain until 2 days later. It only lasted for a day though.

American cars are notoriously stronger and safer than the imports. There's a REASON why they weigh more and it's not because of any extra bells and whistles. Also, when there's a hail storm it's always the import dealers having the hail damage sale... I wonder why, lol. My friends Nissan Maxima was parked next to my camaro when we had a hail storm attack and his car got KILLED. I couldn't find a dent on mine, lol, poor bastard had to use insurance.
BTW, Isn't a parking lot a no-fault zone meaning YOUR insurance company has to pay for it even if it was her fault?

that looks like one of the cars they took outta here yesterday. we have an accident a month at the corner in front of my house. i am rarely out there when it happens, but when the dishes in the cupboard shake you know it's time to go outside and inspect the carnage. people think my cross street is the parkway, or something, always flying up the road. i feel sorry for the one that kills a kid in the neighborhood for going too fast... can you say, lynching?

Only your silly 4th gens are Canadian-built. My car was built in Ohio, and Frank's car was probably built there too (not as many Van Nuys, CA 3rd gens on the East Coast).
