Two friends as a test applied to the same schools twice, once as who they were and once as black females, they were both rejected on the honest applicatoin and both accepted as the faulty one.

What's the question Eric? I'll write it for you and if you get accepted, it'll cost you $100.

My little bro went there and graduated....and went to AC ALOT! :)

Why I want to go to stockton........ base it off of soemthing to the effect of..... entering life.....building friendship w/ others and faculty....and then if you have any info on them (like amount of people.... types of classes...brief summary of the school as a whole) relate it directly to them.

College admissions read a LOT of essays all saying the same crap "I wanna save the world", "I wanna help people", "I'm a good person let me in". Reading admissions essays is a lot like interviewing people for an open position. You hear the same crap.

Write something original and unique to you. Throw the "admissions essay" books out the window as they are worthless.

Be completly honest and tell them why you want to go to Stockton. I've had some friends there -- it isn't exactly a "top tier" school but has some good programs. When I applied to Rowan a few years ago I was frank about why I chose them over Drexel, Penn, or Villanova for my graduate degree: they are cheap and close to my house.

So sit down and list the reasons you chose Stockton -- close to home so you are close to your friends / family, close to the beach, has the programs you like, you like living in "rustic" Pomona, etc... whatever you do DON'T BS them.

"Why I want to go to Stockton..."

Killer parties, hot chicks, great weed, lotta alcohol, good times. The end.

<lol> my friend brought me down to Stockton once to party up, and he was like "Dude, you haven't partied till you partied here." I had never passed out from drinking or smoking before, but needless to say, I passed out on the side of the road at Stockton. My gosh, I had never been so messed up in my entire life. </lol>

What's funny is that OSU engineering degrees require only 1 quarter of english and NO languages! In other words freshman year I wrote 3 papers that totalled maybe 8 pages and that was the last of my writing. I had a couple papers for a few electives and history classes but nothing that required more than an evening to through together.
I don't know how I got into OSU but they liked me, I really thought I wouldn't get in and I'd end up going to Rutgers. I didn't get accepted to Steven's like I was hoping... and that's the only school I really tried to get into! My great grandfather was alumni, I was pretty destrout about not getting in. OH, and Deleware was another school I applied too and got into except I hated the campus and location. Didn't help that it was a major party school with poor athletics.

Any good engineering program will be very writing intensive as you hit junior / senior year. Trust me, they'll make up for the lack of "English" classes. At least they should.

Nope. Unless you consider a self study a paper (I don't). I just had to write a few pages of my progress and the final presentation was a 2 page summation and a lot of research data. Seriously, not a lot of writing at ALL. Now math on the other hand... I'm just glad I'm done with all my pure math classes.
