Anyone have any idea if theyd take me in same day, for a cutout install/resonator delete/u-bend delete? probably only like a 30 min job if that. i really want them to do it tomorrow, cause the next chance i have for them to do it would be next monday, and the parts are just sitting there taunting me

it depends which shop you go to. some of them won't even touch the non-street legal stuff.
foff667 jsut had his stuff done at mufflex. they do really good work. but they require an appointment cause they are so busy

I dont think meineke will touch it, too much franchise stuff in the way probably. they wouldnt bend up an exhaust for me for my 79 w/o cats even though i have QQ plates now.

their website says they do custom performance stuff, and i know a couple people that work there...plus the stuff i need them to do is simple, its all just weld in pieces, and no bends at all. i hope theyll do it...

Sorry... missed your im before....

The one on RT 17N in saddle river will do it.

Ask for KC.

He drives a HUGE black dodge pick up truck.

Tell him I sent ya!

I think that if you have them do it, they will be less likely to do it for you. Its like bringing hamburger meet and a bun to Burger King and asking them to cook it for you.

The location I am refering you to.... does ALL types of custom work.

Done countless f body's..... many of my cars....and soooo many others.

When you are there... ask to see his red tool box w/ all the kodak pic's of all custom exhaust :)

Agreed. Though I've never been there, quite a few friends have used that shop and been very happy with his work.

Sounds good james, ill go there if the one thats 5 minutes from me wont do it. the only parts i need from them is a straight piece of pipe to replace the resonator with a flange on the end to attach to the u-bend delete.

The place in Hawthorne usually does a good job, but whenever I make a last minute apoitment and drop it off they like to take their sweat ass time.

**** minekie...go to mufflex it was basically an hour in labor for my setup plus flanges...i got a cutout, ubend delete...the bullet i had was slightly too long so they had to install one of theirs($30) plus 2 flanges they supplied and tax it came to around $140...they did a very good job, ie welds look good & fitment of both the stock cat/ubend and the new setup both work great.

lmao....yeah, can i get this cutout installed, and take out that ****ing stupid bend you put in there too?

and foff...i bought the u-bend delete pipe from pfyc.com so its just a weld in/bolt on type of thing, not much custom work.

and as far as i know, what im doing is still street legal...cutouts are legal as long as they're closed, i believe.

depends who you ask about the legal thing...some states say any exhaust modification isnt legal...man what where you thinking though...$80 for a ubend replacement? And they still have to weld it in you know  by the time its all said and done your looking at probably having spent over $200 for parts and labor...mufflex probably wouldve made you one for like $30 lol.
