my dads intimidator ss was broken into at his office in englewood today, they took all his work stuff outa it and even stuff from the trunk, they poped the door lock out and they must have seen the ONSTAR cuz they left the car and stole the 92 mustang gt parked next to him. doesnt the GM keyless entry also have an alarm, no alarm ever went off once the car was broken into. also the best part is the thieves came in 2 seperate cars and the only way in is to go past the guard!!! and when they stole the mustang they all past the guard again!!! but they got the all of the cars lisence plates on camera and they dusting my dads monte for finger prints now... not having the best luck with that car, it just got outa the body shop after the naighbor backed into it and weve only had it for like 3 months
that sucks dude...sorry to hear it...at least they didnt go joyriding in the car :?

any alarm system can be beat unfortunately. hopefully they will get your dad's stuff back soon. if they have all the info on teh cars and watch the chop shops for mustang parts it is pretty easy to catch car thieves.

the only things they took were a pair of binoculars, my dads glasses, and an old poloroid camera and the owners manual! they went in the trunk and broke the spare tire cover lookin for stuff. is there any important info about the car that you could make a copy of the key from in the owners manual? they left all the insurance and registration stuff tho
[law and order point of view]they could be a crafty couple of criminals...seeing as how they left your dad's car and took the mustang...if they took a polaroid picture and left the reg/insurance they may have taken pics of it in order to reproduce them, bring the reproductions to a gm dealer, and order themselves a set of keys[/law and order]

Damn jOn you may be on to something, however they will need to show ID, and unless they are really crafty its possible, but who knows...Its something you may want to look into!

well its goin to the dealer to get new locks but theyll just pop em again. also it happend 6 minutes after my dad left the car, he thinks they followed him and saw that it had ONSTAR so it could be tracked and they jus took the mustang instead, it was worked and in mint condition. they also broke the spare tire cover in the truck lookin for stuff under it lol

Sounds like an inside job to me if it got past the "security" A friend of mines WORKED 92 Integra was stolen from Seaton Hall in the Parking garage, they found the shell of the car in Upstate NY the next day.

Man, this is wierd!
One of my students was talking about this today, he told me his brother's Mustang GT was stolen from his office parking lot at work. Yep, you guessed it, it's the 'Stang you're talking about.
They found it wrecked in Irvington last night, that's all the info I have so far.

I hate reading **** like this. Scares me to death.
My dad pulled a joke on me and woke me up early and told me that teh Camaro was stolen.
Without even looking, I ran into his room, grabed his 9mm, and got into my Taurus and was heading into asbury when my dad told me he was kidding.

Stories like this suck. I hope they catch those bastards. I would be so pissed if my car got stolen because I worked my butt off for years to get it. And to think just for someone to come and take it...I would kill. I'll only park my Firehawk where I can see it. But no matter how many layers of security you have, you're still paranoid because you know it can be stolen. Fortunately I still have an older car to get around in.

I can remember one night a few months back I went up to Hollywood Video to get a dvd, and i saw these guys eye me up as i pulled in, but just figured they were lookin at it, since i get it alot in the camaro. I walked into Hollywood, and bumped into some friends of mine so we talked for a few and i just happened to take a peek out, and this strange van was pulled next to the camaro (parked in the middle of the lot by itself) so that was too weird, and some guy was leaning over the passenger window. I ran out there to notice one of the other guys was watching me in the video store, I got to my car and the guy jumped in the van and they took off, i chased them down to get the license plate numbers, and let the cops there know, but it was real weird...one more minute it would have been gone. Crazy how these people work though. Now if the Chevelle were to be stolen, I would be purchasing an arsenal of weapons and track the thieves down. They would be extremely sorry for messing with that car, because it is a part of me that I have worked on from a pile of rust. But, if it were the camaro, it could be a blessing...

watd the cops end up doing when they caught them?

cops did nothing since nothing happened to the car. They simply took the info i guess incase something happened. The town I was in the cops are utterly useless and told me if I saw this again to call them. lol...so that pretty much meant call them after the car got stolen!
