Medium is the most cooked I'll get for any cut. I know people that will get filet cooked well done...totally pointless. Way to ruin a good cut of meat.

Phils did an impressive job this season, especially when you look at the pitching injuries they had all season long. That was my biggest worry going into the playoffs. And the best part is that they still have several great young players in the minors who are ready to come up!
What do you guys think about the stupid all star game determining home field for the World Series? That's the dumbest thing they came up with. I think it should go to the team with the best record and it worked out that way this year, but what if the NL had won the all star game and the series home advantage went to the Phils it wouldn't have been right. |
I never liked that rule...it was a way for MLB to get the players/fan into the all-star game.
It had no bearing on the game this year but it might in future years. |
Yankees out played the philles..........what can i say more.

to answer jeff and frosty about the all star game determining home field advantage. i did some research and i'll agree with you guys that the team with the most wins should get home field advantage.
my findings were the AL has won 12 straight games all star games with 1 tie thrown in there. and 18 of the last 21 all star games. why can't the NL win these games? |
the same reason the al has won 6 of the last 10 and 9 of the last 15 world series...they are a stronger league
|
Because of the DH the AL draws more of the top players.

In baseball, the designated hitter rule is the common name for Major League Baseball Rule 6.10[1], an official position adopted by the American League in 1973 that allows teams to designate a player, known as the designated hitter (abbreviated DH), to bat in place of the pitcher each time he would otherwise come to home plate, rather than replace him by pinch-hitting. Since then, most collegiate, amateur, and professional leagues have adopted the rule or some variant; MLB's National League and NPB's Central League are the most prominent professional leagues that have not. so why dont the NL just adopot a rule for a DH? even up the playing field. how would they go about the idea? through owners votes? or the commisioner? just a thought good one or bad? |

Bill, the way I see it is that the pitcher is part of the team on the playing field, he should be batting.

but then again my career was in the mid 60's early 70's. (little league through high school) yea i know i'm old  |

that just explained alot to me  |
the dh also does not have to bat in the pitchers place.... they can substitute him in for any of the 9 fielding positions
|
I think baseball is much more interesting to watch with the pitcher hitting. It adds a lot of strategy to the game on when to switch pitchers and pinch hit.

but i'm happy about the DH. the DH has keep alot of careers going for alot of great hitters. |
