Stormtroopers Of Death - "Thrash Of The Titans" at Maritime Hall, San Francisco, CA, audience recording. The sound quality gets a B+. From what homework I've done on this show, I've gathered that this was a benefit show to cover medical bills for Chuck Billy and Chuck Schuldiner - this is the only set I have from this show. Classic S.O.D., though I actually wish there were some more Bigger Than The Devil songs. The Ballads includes The Ballad Of Jimi Hendrix, The Ballad Of Kurt Cobain, The Ballad Of Michael Hutchence, The Ballad of Jim Morrison, The Ballad Of Joey Ramone, and The Ballad Of That Midget From Kid Rock. 01 - March Of The S.O.D. 02 - Sergeant D. And The S.O.D. 03 - Kill Yourself. 04 - Milano Mosh. 05 - Speak English Or Die. 06 - **** the Middle East 07 - Douche Crew. 08 - Chromatic Death 09 - Fist Banging Mania 10 - Aren't You Hungry. 11 - The Ballads. 12 - Milk. 13 - Pussywhipped 14 - Freddy Krueger 15 - United Forces. |

I had a rather restricted view from my original tickets so I went towards the back into a section that had a heap of empty seats (plus it was far to hot to be jammed in tight) so as a result there is very little chat/claps etc from people around me. There was a hiccup with the PA at the start but that was soon fixed after a few seconds, and Bruce had a few stuff ups along the way. The only editing was fades on each end, and a db increase. I switched discs during the break and joined them up using a slight cross fade to even things out a little. Some History I been a fan since I got Live After Death for Christmas in 1985, and I'd long given up any idea of seeing the band live without having to spend thousands to get there, so after 23 years this show was a real treat and this is by far the most rewarding concert I've been to. Hopefully Bruce lives up to his promise and we get some return visits in the future. Do yourself a favour and go buy the new Live After Death dvd, arguably the best concert dvd ever. UP the Irons! |
