V 03-29-2006 01:20 AM

what time does everyone usually get there, when i dod go once, i was there like 9:45 and no one showed till like 10:45

BigAls87Z28 03-29-2006 01:21 AM

Smoking, here is a question for you.
If you get LED replacment bulbs, do they light up fast like the luxury cars do? Or is it just a brigher light bulb? Ive thought abotu replacing the rear lights in the 72 with LED replacments to give it a modern look and a brighter light, but dunno if I would get that affect?

go for it Al.

Cheryl's dad put LED rears in his 65 Stang and it was liek night and day.

Brando56894 03-29-2006 01:29 AM

+1

i have nothing to say, other then im slightly drunk...

V 03-29-2006 01:32 AM

its not led bulbs, its full stand alone LED taillights, they have a special logic circuit to allow them to blink at a normal rate, but they are super bright and look almost like a caddy taillight. you cna see at the trucks tomorrow, but LEDs are awesome. i paid 200 for my lights

BigAls87Z28 03-29-2006 01:43 AM

Ah cool. I know you can get LED replacment bulbs, and I have seen LED replacment set ups that slide behind the tail light for Tri-5 Chevys.
I have to find that LED website again. I think I saved it.

turbo96z28 03-29-2006 01:44 AM

i'll call cheryl's dad tomorrow and find out what kind he has.

his wasn't just bulbs, it's a full board with the bulbs pre-installed.

V 03-29-2006 01:46 AM

yeah, just the bulbs like the 1157 or 1156 versions are junk. If you can get a whole LED board that fits in, do that. Most of those come with an actual chip and circuit to regulate everything. even if you look into vette lights, possibly a c6 light could be trimmed to fit behind the round camaro lenses. or see if they have kits for the early c4 vettes at least. but they probably have somethign for the early 70s camaros

turbo96z28 03-29-2006 01:48 AM

they definetly have kits like his for early 2nd gens.

he showed me the website before he ordered his.

BigAls87Z28 03-29-2006 01:57 AM

Im gunna google around for a while. See if I can find something.

V 03-29-2006 02:02 AM

http://www.ledtaillights.com/

that site me be of some help. they dont ahve a specific camaro kit, but look around or email them and ask.

turbo96z28 03-29-2006 02:04 AM

i'm off to bed mofos.

see you all tomorrow at the trucks.

There is a kit for a 67 Chevelle that use a circleish design. Wonder if I could buy 2 sets?
