I had the chance to go to Kansas for Automotive restoration and I really regret not going. It was an awesome school but Kansas was really really far away and I couldnt attend the trucks every week :-(

I hear ya Kasey. I took off as well because Im still not sure what I want to be when I grow up. In the end, it comes down to having that piece of paper, and that will get you anywhere.

:kneeslap:

I went to community college for a semester and a half. I was an education major and I liked the stuff I was learning, but at the same time, I hated it. I like learning new things, but I dont like learning what other people tell me to learn (aka school). Thats when I started looking into the automotive field. I met with a Wyotech recruiter and signed up that same day.

Looking back on it, I'm glad I did what I did. teaching jobs can be hard to come by sometimes and dealing with a bunch of little punk kids would suck. plus I would have to find another job for the summer time. Working on cars is easy for me, I understand cars a lot better than any subject I ever took in "normal" school. Cars will always break, so I'll always have a job :). Plus I got to learn how to weld, shape sheet metal and paint in addition to all the "dealership" stuff.

:stupid:

i looked into colleges when i was in HS, but nothing really appealed to me.

even Lincoln Tech was kind of a bore because my auto teacher in HS taught me so much, but it all worked out in the end.
