i can check into Jose Tejas...the food is great, Tex-Mex stuff. It's not all spicy, they have a good mix of items on the menu. I may be able to get us a group discount or something, I used to work there a couple years ago.

Yea Tim, its off both Rt 46 AND Rt 206 AND Rt 80

Tim, The spot i suggested is a park so there isn't any body really that can give us crap for being there. I do know that if theres a **** load of people there after 11pm then you get **** from cops but i don't think anyone would be there that late.

most parks require permits for large gatherings and definately require them if you plan to BBQ.

Jose Tejas has awesome food!!! :D .. Then there's the new TGIF in Ledgewood/Roxbury that has a huge parking lot which is completely viewable from inside the restuarant.. [ Also has a White Castle next to it.. should you crave  ]

What else.. umm.. There's a very well located Applebees on Rt 46 East in Parsippany.. Again huge parking lot that's visible from within.. Plus, it's a very safe area to park :) Also a Chilis on the other side..

Also, there's On The Border [Mexican - best salsa/chips ever!!... :P ] on Rt 46 in Totowa.. with ample sand safe parking...

Don Pepe in Fairfield is a slightly upscale and very nice Portuguese restuarant...

Oh there's also a FuddRuckers [sp? ] on Rt 46E in Parsippany.... great food, enough parking and very safe [ Police station almost next door :D  ]

On the Border is like one step up from Taco Bell. Jose Tejas' food is much better.

i dunno about needing a permit to BBQ in a park, the east coast AR meet was at a state park in PA, they had little grills everywhere...we used one and even had a decent sized fire going in it and didnt get hassled at all...park rangers drove by many times and didnt even stop and say anything.

they also didnt notice the black strips all over the parking lot from Alex/a couple other guys

Tru2Chevy 08-19-2005 12:36 PM

Yea, if they have grills provided, then all you need to bring is the charcoal :)
