maybe where you live, but where i work ( i work with about 150+) officers i would have to say that most of them are decent guys and are just trying to do their job. Listen, you are going to have a bad apple in the bunch everywhere you go. And it can be said that there are many unfair and unjust judges out there also, taking their bad days out on whatever poor dumb schmuck happens to walk into the court. This carries out for any other profession. I find it hard to believe, actually I don't believe that every single cop you have ever dealt with in your life has been a dick. FYI no one here is saying cops should be allowed to do what they want when they want, but believe me they have far more traning in what to look for than you.

this doesn't even warrent an answer, however i highly doubt the officer decided one day to go tint his patrol car at his own expence because it "looks cool". Many of the patrol cars that are tinted are stealth cars, and K-9 cars. The main reason for tint on police cars is because they are stuck inthe cars sometimes as much as 12-16 hours a day and the constant glare from the sun obviously is not good and the tint lessons the strain on the eyes. You cant have tint because when an officer stops your vehicle he needs to see in the vehicle and tint prohibits that. Many ambulances are tinted also.

almost every other state has SOME type of tint law, NJ just happens to be one of the most strict states as they are on most things. Or did you not realize NJ was a strict state. Hey guess what we need front plates too, weird huh?

i'll tell you what - show me where i said it's not an honorable, respectable profession, and i will acquiese. you're acting like a woman when she argues, bouncing around from one subject to another; because she is not winning her points she bounces over to something else that she thinks is winnable.

i never said i don't have respect for cops. i never said they are honorless cretins that should be treated like lepers. i just don't think they, because of their job, should be treated any differently. and just because i don't put a badge on and strap up doesn't mean i know nothing about what they do. remember, law enforcement is a huge money maker - you either know a cop personally or know a criminal personally, it's big business no matter which side of the fence you're on. i have a brother--in-law and a nephew that are state cops. no one forced them to go into that profession, they made up their own minds. and i treat them no differently than any of my other relatives.

ohh im aware that jersey has strict laws and thats why i hate it. I cant even pump my own gas for gods sake! I used to live in florida and no tint laws, no emissions, ur car can be as loud as you damn please and i didnt have to wait for a douchetards at the gas station to get to my car to pump my gas. did you check the link?? florida DOES have a tint law. Tint can only be 15% on back windows and no darker than 28% on the front with a 3% margin. The windshield tint can only come down to the AS1 line. Yea I agree that jersey sucks, but ya live here and have to deal with it. Your post made it sound as if you were shocked we can't tint our front windows at all.

You posted 1 minute before i did so i didnt have a chance to check it out. And i know that jersey has tint laws, ive gotten a ticket twice for it :lol: before i took it off. Yea i guess they do have a law in florida about tint but i guess its poorly enforced.

See, that's where we disagree. When was the last time a firefighter thanked the engineers that were responsible for saving HIS life? Rather indirect I know, but it's a point I'm trying to make. The engineer might not have the desire to go into a burning building for money but he/she did a huge service in helping the front-line so to speak. It's a mutual respect from my perspective. Nobody earns more respect from their choice of profession. My final reasoning on this subject is this; If I was somebody's only hope I would do the same job as the professional and not expect to get paid or have a parade. So if you're in the profession for fame and glory then I don't like you. It should be more about doing your community a service because you get paid to do what you signed up to do, not paid to be worshiped. If you need an ego boost because things are slow going then fine, I'll give it to you because you need it more than I do.

see i know not all cops are bad, i have some friends that are cops and ive gotten to know alotta local cops and most are bad, its just the ones that are, REALLY ARE bad around here, especially when they examine everything on your car and pile you up with tickets and take your pba/fop card. i mean, yeah cops take alotta ****, but they should always be so jumping to conclusions sometimes.
