I used to have it programed, but whenever Im changing stations it never works. But seriously, I have been listening to alot of regeton lately. And my dad has XM for the talk radio, and I cannot stand it for the Rock. They do cycle the same songs on certain stations and its sometimes really crappy. When my car does run I usually play MP3 CD's, I have about 120 songs per CD and works nicely on Random. |
As RUSH siad in the song "The Spirit Of Radio"
All this machinery making modern music Can still be open hearted Not so coldly charted It's really just a question of your honesty, yeah Your honesty One likes to believe in the freedom of music But glittering prizes and endless compromises Shatter the illusion of integrity Sad, but true... |

satelite radio is awesome, I have had Sirius for 1 year and I bought my father XM 2 years ago. BOTH have quality programming, but Sirius will have Stern. My vote is for Sirius because I know the Hard Attack dj's.

that station blows now :( i should've ordered XM radio in my new truck :(
|
What most of these stations don't realize is the reason they are losing audience is now that my car has a 6-disc changer (Accord) or MP3 player (IROC), when I hit that <CD> button they lose my for the rest of my drive. It's not necessarily the format as much as the morons and douches talking. If I want schtick I'll turn on Stern. If I want news, I'll turn on KYW. If I want good traffic I'll turn on NJ101.5. Don't give me 2 songs, your half-ass attempt at information, then 10 minutes of commercials. Play the music and STFU.
Could this also be why no one is buying music anymore? if we're not hearing the new stuff we're not buying it. |
aww what the hell...now whats left to listen to?!?!?!? thats sush BS!!!

Ive had Xm for over 2 years now. I absolutly love it, and Opie and Anthony are on it. I hate Howard Stern so I'm not that worried I don't have "the little Doggy one". I do listen to Sirius too cause guys at work have it. I like Octane 20 (modern Rock) and its equil to XM 48 (squizz).
I have the Pioneer box in my truck, so my pioneer headunit controls it. Then In my house I have the Polk XM reference tuner, and I have the SkyFi II that I use when I'm driving for work. |
the ocean county station is 95.9 WRAT, Rat radio.
i lived in the philly area for all of my young life (up to 22 y.o.a.). Â*93.3 WMMR and 94.1 WYSP were always changing formats. Â* just when you got set listening to one station, it would change to classic rock. Â*not that i have anything against classic rock, but when you've got your heart set on listening to contemporary music, it bites to have to find a new station. Â*then the other station would change formats to contemporary. Â*it was a rare occasion when both were playing the same format, but that was good because if you didn't particularly care for the song on one station you just flipped over to the other. there was also 93.7 out of delaware that had good music every once in a while. Â*i don't know what's become of them. now that i live in ocean county, it's tough to get a good contemporary station tuned in. Â*the ones i have in memory are 89.5 WSOU, 92.3 WXRK, 93.1 (don't know the call letters), 93.3 WMMR, 94.1 WYSP (soon to be deleted), 95.9 WRAT, Â*97.3 (don't know the call letters), 97.9 La Mega, 101.5, 103.7, 104.3 and 105.9 (don't know any of the last 4 call letters). Â*of course i grab a handful of CDs before a lengthy drive just in case i can't find anything on the radio. it sucks to hear about WYSP. Â*i have a feeling, though, that they'll be back shortly. |
I thought KROCK's call letters were WXRK?
