It's not really about the supporting mods. They really have to be done regardless of the miles on the motor. But the LT1 is a high compression motor with very little material at the top of the pistons. So increasing cylinder pressure is dangerous, plain and simple. It's probably a 50/50 chance of blowing a piston when running NOS, turbo or supercharger on a stock LT1. Some people get lucky some people don't. Sure, you can run NOS and not break anything, but you could also lose a piston on the first run. So like I said, be prepared for a new short block if want to run NOS, turbo or supercharger and run it hard.
So you gotta ask yourself, "Do ya feel lucky punk?" http://gfx.dagbladet.no/pub/artikkel...irty_harry.jpg |
ahaha all I keep hearing is "I need NAWZ...the big ones...two of them, by tonight."
